How to do a routine in the app
Routines are done in the jeCheck mobile app. An employee sees the routines of their location assigned to their position, goes through the steps in order and marks each one. How to sign in to the app is explained in jeCheck mobile app.
Which routines I see
The list of today's routines includes:
- today's routines at your locations where you are an assignee — by the position of the routine or section;
- yesterday's unfinished routines, while they can still be finished;
- night windows that open within the next two hours.
Each routine shows the window time, status and step progress. You can start 30 minutes before the window opens. When the window opens, you get a push notification — tap it to open the routine right away.
How to do it
- Open the routine. At the top are the description and, if there is one, the routine instructions. If the routine was returned for rework, the manager's comment is shown there too.
- Go through the steps section by section. Mark each step the way it requires: a checkbox, a number, an option, text, a photo, a signature, a QR code scan or a timer. The hint and the step instructions help you do it right.
- If a step can't be done, mark “Can’t do it”. Choose a reason (no supplies, equipment is broken, no access to the area, not enough time, the area is occupied by guests) or write your own, and add a comment and a photo if they're requested.
- Tap “Finish”. If a required step isn't marked, the app shows which one.
If a section has a different position set, you see it read-only — a colleague does it. If the same steps have to be marked for an object (for example, “Restroom 2”), they repeat separately for each object.
Good to know
- A measurement out of range is an issue in itself: just enter the actual value, and jeCheck decides whether it's within the norm.
- Some steps appear on a condition — for example, “What's broken” appears only if you marked that the equipment is broken.
- A photo can be required, optional or only on an issue. If the routine has “Camera photos only” turned on, you can't pick a photo from the gallery.
- “Not applicable” — for steps that don't apply to your location, if the routine allows it and the step isn't critical.
- Strictly in order — in some routines, the next step can't be marked until the previous one is.
- You can correct a mark while the routine isn't finished: a new mark on the same step replaces the old one.
An issue in a step isn't the employee's fault. Mark it honestly: the issue creates a task for the manager or automatically starts the right routine, for example “Supplies restock”.
Event-driven routines
Some routines are started manually — for example, “Delivery receiving”. You can start them in the app yourself when the event happens — after that the routine works as usual, and the deadline is counted from the start.
If a routine is awaiting sign-off
For some routines, the manager checks the result after you tap Finish. Until they accept it, the routine has the “Awaiting sign-off” status. If the manager returns the routine for rework, you get a push with a comment — fix it and finish again.
Frequently asked questions
I don't see a routine I'm supposed to do
Check the location and the time: a routine appears 30 minutes before its window. If the routine is assigned to another position, you can't see it — contact your manager. A manager with the “Routine control” permission sees and can do any routine at their location.
I didn't make it on time. Can I still finish?
Yes, until the late-completion deadline set in the routine runs out. The routine will be marked as done late.
