A checklist that audits the way you would

Build an audit in the web builder: 12 answer types, from yes/no and a number with a target range to a signature and a barcode, plus conditional questions, scores and critical items. AI points out vague wording, and the checklist appears in your auditors' app right away.

Highlights

01

Facts, not ticks

The auditor enters the temperature, picks an option or scans a barcode, and the system decides whether it is compliant or a violation.

02

Risk-based scoring

Weights, partial scores and critical items: a dirty kitchen and a crooked poster don't count the same.

03

First audit in 15 minutes

Start from one of 67 templates, an Excel import or a draft from the AI assistant.

Why it matters

One standard. Everyone audits it differently

The standard lives in a 20-page PDF, while audits run on a spreadsheet with a single yes/no answer for everything. Temperature gets recorded as "fine", expiry dates as "ok", and a 95% score says nothing about real risks.

The usual way

  • The spreadsheet only has yes/no: no numbers, dates or photos
  • A minor slip and a dangerous violation weigh the same
  • Vague questions: everyone reads "Is the kitchen in order?" differently
  • A new version of the standard means a new file, and half the locations still use the old one

With jeCheck

  • Number with a target range, gauge, options, date, photo, signature, barcode
  • Weights, partial scores and critical items that zero out the result
  • AI review finds vague and double questions and suggests replacements
  • Change the checklist and it updates in everyone's app instantly

Features

12 answer types

Yes/no, scored options, multiple choice, number with a target range, gauge, date and expiry, photo, signature, barcode, employee, text and instruction.

Conditional questions

A question appears only if the answer above was "no" or a specific option. The audit gets shorter, and the details show up where the problem is.

Scores and critical items

A weight for every question, a partial score for "minor remarks", and items whose violation zeroes out the whole audit result.

Reference photos and hints

Show what good looks like: a reference photo and a hint for the question. Key items can require a photo and a comment.

AI review and AI assistant

AI finds vague, double and unverifiable questions and suggests "before → after" edits. The assistant drafts a checklist from your description.

Folders, access and import

Color-coded folders, "who can use it" by position and location, bulk actions, Excel import and export.

Answer types

The auditor enters the fact, the system does the scoring

For temperature, a number with a 2–6 °C target range; for expiry dates, a date with a "not expired" rule; for cleanliness, options with their own scores. An answer outside the range becomes a violation immediately, and follow-up questions appear only where something is wrong.

  • Answer options with a color, an outcome and a partial score
  • Number with a unit and a "from–to" target range
  • Gauge with a pass threshold, date and time, signature
  • Barcode with a list of expected codes, and employee selection
  • "Show if…" conditions based on an answer above
AI review

A second opinion on your checklist in a minute

Click "AI review" in the builder: AI reads the whole checklist and shows which questions are vague, which check two things at once, where a number or a gauge would work better, and what is missing. Every edit is shown as "before → after"; you tick the ones you want and apply them in one go.

  • Vague wording, with a specific replacement
  • Double questions, with a suggestion to split them
  • Answer type hints: number, gauge, options, date
  • New questions your standard is missing
  • Nothing changes without your tick
Order and access

Dozens of checklists, and everyone sees only their own

Sort checklists into color-coded folders: kitchen, floor, opening, HACCP. Set who can use each one: positions, locations or specific people. A cook sees only kitchen audits in the app, while the manager sees everything for their location.

  • Color-coded folders, drag and drop and bulk actions
  • "Who can use it": positions, locations, employees
  • Filters: in use, never audited, restricted access
  • Copy a checklist for another format
  • Import questions from Excel and export them back

How it works

  1. 1 Choose a starting point

A template, a copy of your own checklist, an Excel import or an AI draft.

  2. 2 Build the questions

Sections, answer types, target ranges, conditions and reference photos.

  3. 3 Set up scoring

Weights, critical items and a pass score. Run the AI review.

  4. 4 Start auditing

The checklist is in the app right away. Schedule audits in the planner.

Frequently asked questions

No. The builder runs in your browser, questions are added and edited like in a regular form, and answer type settings open right in the question card.

Yes. Import questions from Excel, adapt a similar template from the library, or ask the AI assistant to draft one from your description. Then run the AI review to sharpen the wording.

Twelve: yes/no, single choice, multiple choice, number with a target range, gauge, date and time, photo, signature, barcode, employee, text, and an instruction with no answer. Every answer rolls up into a common outcome: compliant, violation or not applicable.

So the score reflects risk. The weight sets what a question is worth, a "minor remarks" option can give a partial score, and a violated critical item zeroes out the whole audit result, for example expired food on the line.

No. The AI review only suggests edits as "before → after". Only the ones you tick go into the checklist, and they are all applied in one go.

As many as your audits need. Folders, filters and access by position and location keep things tidy even with dozens of checklists.
