Employee assessments

Build a test in an evening — know who’s ready for the shift

Create a test yourself or with AI from your own SOP and assign it to job roles, locations or specific people. Staff take it in the jeCheck app or via a personal link, while grading, reminders and reports need no manual work.

Highlights

01

Knowledge, not a signature

Employees answer questions about your standards. A mistake on a critical question — hygiene, allergens, safety — means “failed”.

02

Assign once

Deadlines, reminders, automatic assignment to new hires and recertification run on their own.

03

See the gaps

Results by person and assignment, and question analysis shows which wording confuses people.

Why it matters

Did they learn the standards — or just sign for them?

Training often ends with a signature in a log. Checking everyone’s knowledge takes time: paper tests, manual grading, spreadsheets. And new hires at different locations are simply never told about the test.

The usual way

  • A paper test or a generic form, answers graded by hand
  • A new hire was never assigned the test — you find out after their first mistake with a guest
  • The whole shift takes the test together and copies answers
  • No idea which topics are weak and which questions are badly written

With jeCheck

  • Answers are graded automatically; open answers are graded by a person
  • New hires in the right roles get the test automatically
  • Random question selection, shuffling, a timer and proctored mode
  • Results, question analysis, Excel and PDF in a couple of clicks

Features

8 question types

Single and multiple choice, true/false, short text, number with tolerance, ordering, matching and open answer with manual grading.

Questions with AI

Paste the text of an SOP or recipe card, or give a topic — AI drafts questions. Only the ones you tick go into the test.

Assign by role and location

To people, job roles, locations or the whole company. Deadline, reminders a day before and after the deadline, auto-adding new hires.

In the app or via a link

Staff take tests in the jeCheck mobile app or in a browser via a personal link. For candidates there is an open link, no account needed.

Proctored mode

Camera and an ID photo, full screen, tab monitoring, a violation log with snapshots and a trust score. Browser only.

Results and certificates

Results by employee and assignment, question analysis, Excel export, a PDF report and a certificate with an expiry date.

Builder and AI

Questions from your own SOP — in minutes

Paste your service standard, recipe card or safety instruction and AI drafts questions. You tick the useful ones, edit the wording and add your own. Blocks split the test into topics, and random selection gives everyone their own set of questions.

  • 8 question types — from true/false to an open answer
  • Critical questions: one mistake fails the test at any score
  • Partial credit for multiple choice, ordering and matching
  • N random questions from a block — harder to copy from a neighbour
  • Time limit, pass mark, number of attempts and a pause between them
  • What to show afterwards: nothing, the score, mistakes or a full review
Results

See not just who passed, but what’s unclear

The overview shows how many passed, the average score and the distribution. For each employee there are attempts with an answer review. Question analysis highlights questions that are too hard, too easy or confusing.

  • Statuses: not started → in progress → in review → passed / failed
  • Open answers wait for your grading
  • Remind, change the deadline, grant another attempt — per employee
  • Export all attempts to Excel, plus a PDF report per attempt
  • Certificate with an expiry date and recertification
  • Editing a test doesn’t change attempts already taken
Proctored mode

When it matters who actually answered

For certifications and pre-hire exams, turn on proctored mode. Before starting: a camera check and an ID photo, then the test runs full screen. Leaving the tab or exiting full screen is logged as a violation with a snapshot.

  • Works in the browser via a personal or open link
  • Camera, ID photo and full-screen mode
  • Tab monitoring and a violation log with snapshots
  • Automatic finish after a set number of violations
  • Trust score is a hint — a person makes the decision
  • Open link for candidates, no account needed

How it works

  1. 1 Create a test

Yourself or with AI from an SOP: blocks, questions, critical items.

  2. 2 Set the rules

Time limit, pass mark, attempts, shuffling, proctored mode.

  3. 3 Assign

To people, roles, locations or the whole company — with a deadline and reminders.

  4. 4 Review results

Who passed, where people go wrong, which questions to rewrite. Excel, PDF, certificates.

Frequently asked questions

In a browser via a personal link, with no login or password. You can copy the link from the assignment results and send it in any convenient way.

Yes, if AI generation is enabled for your company. Paste the text of your SOP or give a topic, choose question types and quantity — AI drafts the questions, and only the ones you tick go into the test. Number and open-answer questions are added manually.

Most likely they got a critical question wrong: then the test fails regardless of the total score. Another option is that a proctored test was finished because of violations.

Yes, if auto-adding is turned on in the assignment and the employee matches the selected roles or locations. For ongoing onboarding, create a separate assignment without a deadline.

It is an exam mode: camera and ID photo, full screen, tab monitoring and a violation log with snapshots. It works only in a browser. The trust score is a hint; a person decides on the result.

No. Each attempt stores a snapshot of the questions as they were, so grading and reports stay the same. Edits apply to new attempts.

Yes. Turn on the open link: the candidate enters their name and takes the test without an account. Add proctored mode if needed.

All attempts export to Excel as one table, and each attempt has a PDF report. When the test is passed, the report shows a certificate number, and the certificate can have an expiry date — after it expires, the test is assigned again.
