Routines

A daily routine your team actually follows — not one pinned to the wall

Opening, restroom cleaning every two hours, receiving deliveries, closing — staff get each routine on time, work through the steps on their phone and mark every one with a photo or a reading. No scores: you see whether it was done, on time, and where the issues are.

Highlights

01

Not an inspection — a sequence of work

An audit checklist checks the result and gives a score. A routine helps get the work done right: step by step, at the right time, by whoever is on shift.

02

The whole day as a chain

Opening in the morning, dining room setup after it, cleaning at intervals during the day, closing at night. The next routine starts by itself when the previous one is done.

03

Issues don’t get lost

“No soap to refill” or +9 °C in the fridge — a task for the manager or a routine that fixes the problem starts right away.

Why it matters

The standard is written. But is it followed every shift?

Cleaning logs on the restroom door get signed “for the whole week”, the opening checklist lives in the shift lead’s head, and you hear about an empty soap dispenser from a guest. A monthly audit sees the outcome, not what happens every day.

The usual way

  • Paper cleaning schedule signed in advance
  • A new hire opens the location “as they understood it”
  • Out of supplies — you find out when a guest complains
  • The manager doesn’t know what was missed and when

With jeCheck

  • Time window, push and every step marked with a photo
  • Steps, hints and instructions right on the phone
  • Issue in a step → task or a “Restock” routine
  • Daily routine of every location and missed-routine analytics by hour

Features

Schedules and intervals

Every day, by weekday, by day of month, by date or every N days. Several windows a day or “every 2 hours from 10 to 22”.

Chains and conditions

After another routine, on an issue, manually on an event. Seasonal, or only on days with a shift at the location.

Nine step types

Checkbox, reading with a target range, choice, text, photo, signature, on-site QR scan, timer and instruction.

Sections by position

Cooks do the kitchen, waiters do the dining room. Repeat steps for each object: restrooms, rooms, machines.

Issues → actions

“Can’t do it” with a reason, a reading out of range, a wrong code — a task with an “after” photo or a routine that starts by itself.

Discipline analytics

On time, late, missed — by location, routine, hour and employee, next to the audit results.

Chains and conditions

Morning, afternoon and evening — one chain

Routines link together: dining room setup starts when opening is done, and “Restock supplies” starts by itself if cleaning reports “nothing to refill”. Everything runs in each location’s local time.

  • Time windows labelled “morning”, “lunch”, “evening”, including overnight
  • Intervals: every 30 minutes to 4 hours within set hours
  • After another routine — when it is completed or when its deadline passes
  • On an issue — in any step or a specific one
  • Season and “only if there is a shift at the location” per the schedule
  • Manual start on an event: delivery, banquet, spill
In the app

Staff see what to do right now — and can’t “forget” a step

A push when the window opens, steps by section with hints and instructions, target ranges for readings and required photos. A step that can’t be done is marked with a reason — that’s not a mistake, it’s a signal.

  • A reading out of range becomes an issue automatically
  • Conditional steps: “What’s broken” only if “Broken” was chosen
  • Camera-only photos, on-site QR scan, hold timer
  • Strict order — when the sequence matters
  • Manager approval and send-back with a comment
  • Missed the window — finish late, and it will show
Control

Routines “done”, but the audit is low? You’ll see it

The daily routine shows every location on a timeline. Analytics shows where and at what hours routines are missed, which steps aren’t done and why — next to the location’s average audit result.

  • Daily timeline by location: done, in progress, awaiting approval, missed
  • Run card: who, when, photos, readings, reasons, tasks
  • Missed hours and problem steps with the most common reason
  • A “steps are ticked without looking” hint when routines are high and audits are low

How it works

  1. 1 Pick a template

Restaurant, retail, hotel, fitness, cleaning, warehouse, salon — or describe the work to AI.

  2. 2 Adjust steps and times

Sections, ranges, photos, windows and chains — in the builder.

  3. 3 Assign locations and positions

Only the right staff see the routine, those on shift first.

  4. 4 Turn it on and watch the day

Staff complete it in the app; you see the daily routine and what was missed.

Frequently asked questions

An audit checklist is an inspection: the checker assesses whether the standard is followed and gets a percentage. A routine is the sequence of work for whoever is on shift: no scores, on a schedule, with every step marked. They work best together: routines every day, audits selectively.

Yes. In the audit checklist list, choose “Turn into routine”: sections and questions become steps, scores are dropped, and the checklist stays as it was.

In the jeCheck mobile app for iPhone and Android. In the web app you create routines, follow the daily routine, approve and analyse.

After the window there is a grace period, then time to finish late — both are configurable. If the routine still isn’t done, it counts as missed or incomplete and the manager gets a summary.

No. There are templates for retail, hotels, fitness clubs, offices and cleaning, warehouses and production, beauty salons and clinics. Any routine can be built from scratch or with AI.

Routines are included in every plan, including the free Start plan. The AI routine draft is in the Network plan.
