How to act on a briefing card
Every briefing card on the home page has ready-made actions: the task text is already written, and the auditor and date are already picked. You review, edit if needed, and confirm. If no action is needed, you can snooze the card, mark it as resolved or hide it.
How to assign a task
- Click the task button on the card. For example, Assign a task to the manager or Ask the manager to look into it.
- Review the task. The title, description and deadline are already filled in from the facts on the card — edit them if needed.
- Choose the assignees. By default the location's managers are selected. If the location has no manager, an administrator is selected. The list contains the location's employees and administrators; you can find a person with search.
- Click Create task. The task appears in the Tasks section on your behalf, and the assignees get a notification. The card leaves the briefing with the status Done.
How to schedule an unscheduled audit
The Schedule an unscheduled audit button — it can also be labelled Unannounced audit, Follow-up audit in a week or Cross-check audit by another auditor — is available to administrators.
- Click the button. A form opens with the checklist and location from the card.
- Choose the date and auditor. At the top of the list are those who audited this checklist at this location most often in the last 90 days. For a control audit, the employee from the card isn't in the list.
- Click Schedule. A one-time audit appears in the planner, and the auditor gets an email and a reminder a day before.
How to remind employees
- Remind the auditor — a push to the auditor about missed scheduled audits.
- Remind those who are overdue — a push to employees who didn't take a test on time.
- Remind those who haven't read it — a push to those who haven't confirmed they've read an instruction.
- Remind assignees — a push to the assignees of the location's overdue tasks, with a link to the task.
The first three buttons are available to administrators, the last one to everyone who sees the card. Before sending, a confirmation with the number of recipients appears.
How to discuss a card with AI
The Discuss with AI, Create a test on the topic, Write an instruction, Prepare training on the topic and Write a thank-you buttons open the AI assistant with a ready-made question about this card. The assistant sees the card's facts and can prepare a draft test, checklist or task — it's created only after you confirm. See AI assistant in the web account.
Link buttons (Open report, Test results, Open the planner and others) simply take you to the right section. The card stays in the briefing.
How to resolve without an action
Click … on the card:
- Already resolved — the problem has already been fixed. The card leaves the briefing with the status Done.
- Snooze until tomorrow / Snooze for a week — the card comes back to the briefing if the problem hasn't gone away by then.
- Not a problem — you can briefly write a reason. The card leaves the briefing. After 30 days it may come back if the situation has changed.
- Don't show this kind… (administrators only) — hide similar signals: just this card, such signals for this location or about this employee, or for the whole company. You can bring back hidden signals in the briefing settings — see How to set up the briefing and what the AI does on its own.
What happens after an action
After 2 weeks AI Control compares the two weeks before the action and the two weeks after: the violation rate for the same requirements at the same location, and for a score drop, the average score. The result appears in the What your actions achieved section:
- Helped — the metric improved by 3 points or more;
- Got worse — the metric worsened by 3 points or more;
- No change — the difference is less than 3 points.
If there are too few audits to compare, no result is shown.
If 2 weeks after the action the data check still finds the problem, the card returns to the briefing with the didn't help label — it's worth trying a different action.
Decision log
On the home page, open the Decision log tab. It shows everything that happened to cards in the last 30 days:
- Done — with the type of action and a “done by AI” mark if the action was autonomous;
- Resolved on its own — the data check no longer finds the problem;
- Not a problem — with the reason, if one was given;
- Snoozed — until when.
The Return to briefing button shows the card on the home page again.
Frequently asked questions
Why are buttons inactive or missing?
Only administrators can schedule audits and send reminders to employees. Other users have the task, the AI discussion and links available on a card.
On whose behalf is the task created?
On yours. If the AI assigned the task on its own (this is turned on in the briefing settings), it's created on behalf of the company's creator or first administrator, and the description contains the note “Task created by jeCheck AI Control based on a briefing signal.”
